The newest, Fall 2017 collection is inspired by the Renaissance period. Gowns from both lines exude modern romantic feminism with an emphasis on sleeves and beadwork and laces that are intricate and "detailed like a Davinci Painting". Vinieris used an array of tulles, meshes, and embroidered laces layered with pleating and feathers to create texture in a palette of ivories and nudes.

I'm a big fan of Zac Holmstrom of Current Films. I stumbled across his work while looking for a wedding cinematographer for my own wedding almost two years ago. What struck me about Zac was his attention to detail and the amount of beautiful candid shots he got of his subjects. Whether its a group of girls giggling, or an older couple dancing, he found ways to capture the sweet little moments that give weddings their own personality.
I stumbled across the video of Liz and Caleb while perusing Current Films videos (yet again) and got even more excited when I saw Liz! Liz visited Isabel O'Neil for her dress. A boutique owner herself, Liz is incredibly stylish and open to taking risks. She ended up purchasing a stunning Romona Keveza blush gown with a Romona Keveza overskirt and belt. If I could pick one dress ensemble that screams Oxford Exchange, its this one. When the couple contacted Zac they decided to produce a video highlighting their intimate wedding to share with the rest of the wedding guests the very next day. This turnaround time is much quicker than what Zac and his team are used to; yet he describes it as, "what started out being a high pressure 24 hours to produce a film that accurately captured and represented the couple, turned out to be our favorite edit yet."
IOBC: What was your favorite aspect of this film?
Zac: Caleb & Liz made it clear early on that they wanted the video to be non traditional, and to represent their style. I would say that my favorite aspect of the film was their originality and simplicity, they trusted us to do what we do and that made it a lot of fun.
IOBC: Any advice for brides when considering videography?
Zac: Almost every time I get the question, “what do you do for a living” and I respond, I get the same reaction. Wedding cinematography has changed drastically over the years, and is becoming more and more of a must have. Personally, I love filming weddings because I get the opportunity to capture a moment for someone, and create something for them that they get to experience for years and years. Still images are always a necessity and incredible, but something about watching the father of the bride wipe a tear from his eye as he watches his daughter twirl in her dress is irreplaceable. Some people may not consider cinematography a necessity, or advise you to "spend the money elsewhere". I can say the top comment I receive after my clients receive their edits is that they are so glad they decided to have us. If you are currently searching, find a company that you really connect with. Listen to the music choices, and pay attention to their editing style. Picture yourself in one their videos, and if it feels right, go with it.
